British Cycling Yorkshire Region will in 2009 once again be continuing with it's commitment to Cyclo-Sportives.

For the established White Rose Classic we have now formed a partnership with KUDU Bikes of Hawes and the event will this year move to a more Northerly base with a start and finish in Hawes. This enables the Sportive to be a truly Dales based event taking in climbs such as Park Rash and Butter Tubs, missing from our previous editions.

The three route formula, road signage, entry format and insurance etc will all fall under the tried and tested BC template that will now benefit from the local knowledge that KUDU can bring. With a new date of the 19th July this is one to add to your diary, that is after a visit to www.whiteroseclassic.co.uk for entry details.

Also moving dates will our second event the Ryedale Rumble with a shift to the 9th August. This event continues its North York Moor's theme that with the new August date should see the Moors at its stunning best complete with carpet of purple heather. Add to this the quiet roads and unspoilt nature of this unique part of Yorkshire and this event is a must for those in need of a serious challenge. New to the event for 2009 will be age-related time standards that will be posted onto the website in the next few days. There'll also be a new style tee-shirt and of course the standard BC Yorkshire fare at the feeding stations, something that we are particularly proud of. With this event we are offering a Bring a Volunteer deal....simply tick where shown on the entry form, bring a volunteer on the day and we will refund your entry. For an event of this scale we are looking for volunteers to man the feed stations and to help out in the magnificent grounds of our Gilling Castle venue. For your entry to this one please visit www.ryedalerumble.co.uk

Looking forward to seeing you in 2009

From all at British Cycling Yorkshire Region.
